A Summer of Dior

July 23, 2018

At Royal Caribbean, we adore everything Dior, from heirloom timepieces to the haute couture jewelry illuminating red carpets each season. Headquartered
in Paris, France, Dior was founded by Christian Dior in 1946 – and the rest, as they say, is history! This summer, we’re celebrating the legacy of
Dior at our Virgin Islands location – and we can’t wait to share the glamour with you.

La D de Dior Satine

Coined “the ribbon that gives time,” La D de Dior Satine timepieces set the wearer apart from the rest. The band – crafted of Milanese mesh steel – forms
an eye-catching bracelet with a unique sheen and easy flexibility. This season’s versions boast a steel bezel, delicately enhanced with a stamped pattern.
In classic couture style, the La D de Dior Satine timepieces are diamond-free, embellished instead with ribbon. Engineered with timeless Swiss design
in mind, this sleek, poetic timepiece has the power to light up any room. Thirteen diamonds on the crown and four diamonds on the dial, all set against
a black mother-of-pearl face, complement the stainless steel bezel, case, and crown.

Dior Grand Bal Collection

We’re thrilled at the unveiling of one of Dior’s latest one-of-a-kind creations, the Dior Grand Bal Jardins Imaginaires. This stunning timepiece is inspired
by nature’s magical, mysterious allure, mimicking the shapes and colors one might find in the garden. Gold, precious stones, and even butterfly wing
unite to evoke a variety of flora and fauna. This resplendent timepiece comes adorned with 39 round-cut sapphires, 22 round-cut diamonds and 11 trillion-cut
diamonds, five trillion-cut pink sapphires, and four trillion-cut rubies. Feathers, tinted glass, and butterfly wing round out the inspiring design.

The Dior Heritage

We’re crazy about all things Dior, and that means we’re positively enthralled with a recent exhibition that pays tribute to the designer’s brilliant life.
With nearly sixty haute couture dresses displayed alongside accessories, perfumes, photographs, and other archives, the Museé de Christian Dior opened in April of 2018. Originally the childhood home of Christian himself, this museum is actually a 19th century cliff-top villa overlooking Normandy’s
blue seas. The distinctive garden, designed by Dior’s mother, is just as lovely as the many gowns and accessories housed inside.

When it comes to Christian Dior, we go wild – and the season’s fresh, inspired designs are as alluring as ever. Make your way to Royal Caribbean on St.
Thomas in the pristine Virgin Islands, or visit our online shop to peruse our dynamic selection of timepieces, jewelry, accessories, and more.
